Job Description

Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports plant operations by implementing HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, labor relations, and organizational development. This role is key in shaping workplace culture and driving HR initiatives in collaboration with various departments.
Essential Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To successfully perform this job, an individual must Serve as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership, offering guidance and coaching. Support employee relations initiatives, ensuring compliance with labor laws, union contracts, EEO, AAP, and diversity policies. Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment efforts, workforce planning, and onboarding processes. Analyze HR data and reports to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement in retention, turnover, and engagement. Coordinate and implement training and development programs. Lead and support employee engagement and recognition events to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Support HR planning and organizational development initiatives, including documentation and resolution of employee issues and grievances. Collaborate with departments such as Payroll and Finance to support business needs. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 3+ years of professional experience in Human Resources. Experience in a plant manufacturing environment preferred. Direct experience with labor relations in a collective workforce setting preferred. Experience managing leaves of absences, FMLA, and payroll. Knowledge of ERISA, EEOC, and DOL regulations. Experience with benefits and compensation administration. Strong conflict management and mediation skills.
