View More Jobs HR Generalist Pittsburgh, PA, United States Job Description This position will drive programs that support the HR strategies and Company/Group initiatives within the Global Packaging Division. More specifically, the HR Generalist will support the HR Director with projects and time-sensitive tasks in relation to: HR Administration, Recruitment & Onboarding, Training & Development, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, and Talent Management. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leaders below the executive level in North America. The HR Generalist will rotate between two locations: Primary location: Global Technical Center, Pittsburgh, PA Secondary location: Packaging HQ, Sewickley, PA Responsibilities HR Business Partner Support Serve as a primary HR resource for Packaging North America managers and employees below the executive level. Build strong relationships with leaders and employees at the Global Technical Center, Sewickley headquarters office, and across the North American field population. Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, engagement, development planning, and organizational effectiveness. Partner with leaders to strengthen management capabilities through coaching, training recommendations, and development planning. Support organizational change initiatives, workforce planning activities, position management, and restructuring efforts as needed. Escalate complex, high-risk, or executive-level matters to the Global HR Director as appropriate. Employee Relations Support employee relations matters by conducting initial discovery, documenting concerns, coaching managers, and recommending next steps. Assist with investigations, employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and performance-related documentation. Promote a positive, respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment. Ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up on employee relations matters. Recruitment and Onboarding Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to support recruitment activities for North America roles. Assist with candidate screening, interview coordination, job description updates, selection support, and onboarding. Support consistent onboarding practices for technical, corporate, and field-based employees. Help improve new hire experience and manager readiness. Talent Management and Performance Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, development planning, and follow-up. Track and support completion of individual development plans and performance improvement plans. Assist with preparation for talent review and succession planning discussions. Partner with managers to identify employee development needs and connect employees to appropriate resources. Employee Engagement and Culture Support employee engagement initiatives across Packaging North America. Help coordinate engagement survey follow-up, focus groups, action planning, and communication. Partner with leaders and employees to strengthen connection, culture, and employee experience across GTC, Sewickley, and field populations. Coordinate recognition and engagement activities aligned with business priorities. HR Operations, Data, and Reporting Maintain accurate HR data and support HR reporting needs. Provide monthly updates on key HR activity, including recruitment, employee relations, engagement, training completion, performance process completion, and talent-related metrics. Maintain HR resources, templates, SharePoint content, and process documentation. Analyze workforce trends and metrics related to turnover, engagement, recruiting, performance, and talent development to identify opportunities and support business decision-making Support HR projects and continuous improvement efforts as needed.
