Summary:
This position will assist with the broad overview of the Human Resources functions for SAM in assigned regions.

Responsible for Human Resources functions in support of assigned regions by developing positive working relationships with Regional Vice President (RVPs,) District Directors (DDs,) and District Managers (DMs). Accurate and timely completion of onboarding process for new hires. Process changes such as promotions, transfers, wage changes, etc. Assist District Managers with tracking performance documentations, suggested trainings and follow up on performance documentations and performance improvement plans. Advise DM and approve separations. Accurate and timely completion of separation process. Develop comprehensive understanding of SAM's policies and procedures to support operations team and answer employee questions. Development of associates by connecting with regional, district, and home office staff. Submit information to SAM's unemployment vendor to process unemployment claims. Local/State/Federal compliance requirements and administration. Perform audits and compliance reviews as needed. Monitor and track completion of performance reviews as well as corrective action items. Proactive approach to 90-day reviews for store associates and follow-up as necessary. Participate as necessary on DM and Regional team calls.
Monthly:
HR Metrics and Regional metrics. Assist with internal interview process. Assist with covering other regions as assigned due to HR Generalists absences and open positions. Crossed-trained in
LOA, WC, EEOC
reporting, benefits administration, all areas of Human Resources as applicable. Involvement with Wellness Initiatives/Healthy Lifestyles/Safety Committee and other SAM committees as needed. In office scheduling requirements are determined by your supervisor and are subject to change at any time. Foster an environment to mirror SAM's culture and Core Values. Additional duties and projects as assigned. Education and/or
Experience Requirements:
Post-Secondary Education desired, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Generalist. SHRM or PHR certified Multi-state experience a plus! A team player that is energetic and motivated with effective written and verbal communication skills. UKG platform experience a plus Basic understanding of employment law Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, project and time management skills Outstanding team player able to build positive working relationships, be flexible and open-minded, and contribute to team projects. Microsoft Office Work Hours:
In a typical week, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours with regular and predictable attendance. This position could include some weekend work and minimal travel.
Work Environment:
This work is usually performed indoors in an office environment with normal noise levels and no exposure to hazardous conditions.
