Job Description

HR Generalist Advertising/Posting Title HR Generalist Posting Summary This position communicates human resources policies, procedures and general information to employees, job applicants, and retirees that contact central Human Resources via email, phone and walk-in. This position will collaborate with the broad HR department to resolve basic to moderately complex inquiries in a timely manner. It requires utilizing a variety of systems (including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), contact management and electronic personnel file software). It will be expected to handle confidential/sensitive information regarding the and administration of benefits, payroll and personnel matters management in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years related experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of general HR practices and benefit plan administration Proficiency with computer software and the ability to learn new systems and software Desirable Qualifications Ability to: Work in a collaborative environment and serve as an effective team member Maintain confidentiality Organizational and time-management skills Work effectively with a wide range of University students, personnel, and affiliates, and across multiple disciplines Effectively communicate with customers to obtain information and provide assistance Anticipated Pay Range $68,000 to $74,250 Other Information Cover letter, resume and three professional references are required.
