Human Resource Consultant 1 (Classification Liaison

What you will do:
Serve as a trusted advisor on position classification and job allocation. Review and update position descriptions to ensure alignment with job classes. Provide expert consultation on classification policies and procedures as related to organizational structure. Analyze complex HR scenarios and offer policy-aligned recommendations. Contribute to projects that shape the foundation of Alaska's workforce structure and classification plan. Our Organization, Mission, and Culture The Division of Personnel provides policy, consultative guidance, and human resource services to State of Alaska Executive Branch agencies. Classification Services provides consultation and expertise in job analysis while administering fair and equitable job classification and pay structures to support the State of Alaska's civil service.Classification Core Values:

We offer a hybrid telework model, with two full in-office days per week—giving you the flexibility to balance focused remote work with in-person collaboration.
