Our clients rely on us for practical leadership that helps them scale, improve performance, and build healthy, productive workplaces. We are looking for an experienced HR Consultant who can step into client environments, quickly assess people and process challenges, and partner with leaders to build HR systems that support growth, accountability, and culture. This is a diverse client-facing role for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, and is accustomed to providing HR support to a variety of business sizes and industries. What You'll Do Assess organizational structure, talent, and HR practices Build and improve HR infrastructure (policies, compliance, onboarding, performance management, employee relations) Coach leaders and managers on accountability and team performance Help growing companies scale their people practices Navigate employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion Partner with finance and operations consultants when people issues affect productivity and systems What Makes You a Great Fit 7+ years of broad HR experience (employee relations, compliance, organizational development) Experience in multiple industries and business types Comfortable advising owners and executives Strong systems thinker who builds HR processes that actually get used Confident communicator who balances empathy with accountability Highly organized, adaptable, and self-directed - able to switch gears between multiple clients Consulting experience and SPHR or other certification is a plus, but strong internal HR leaders ready to move into consulting are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits Hybrid part-time role with regular onsite work at our San Rafael office and client locations. Must be willing to travel to client sites in the greater Bay Area on a regular basis.
