Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support the daily operations of our HR department and contribute to broader office management responsibilities. This Part Time position (25-28 hours per week) plays a key role in managing HR functions such as recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, while also supporting administrative initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency and culture. This hybrid role also includes office management duties, including coordinating vendor relationships, managing office supplies and facilities, and planning our annual partners meeting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities across HR and administrative domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Administer employee benefits, leave programs (including PFLMA), unemployment claims, and 401(k) plan (in partnership with TPA and brokers). Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (Affordable Care Act) Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data. Support employee performance management and recognition initiatives. Participate in disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations, working with leadership and outside counsel as needed. Coordinate and track mandatory trainings, certifications, and professional development. Serve as a key resource for employee inquiries, policy clarification, and HR-related support. Manage HR-related administrative tasks for the finance and leadership teams. Collaborate with brokers, TPA, and external legal counsel as needed. Review and update employee's handbook according to the State of Massachusetts labor laws.
Office Management and Administrative Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily office operations and ensure a well-organized workplace. Manage vendor relationships and supply inventory. Support internal event planning and employee engagement initiatives. Assist with administrative projects and requests from leadership. Supervisory Duties (as applicable): May support performance evaluations and feedback processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment. SHRM-CP or equivalent certification a plus. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to move between departments and facilities as needed.

$32,000.00
