Human Resources Generalist - Part Time

JPosition Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our growing, business in the manufactuing/construction industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive HR professional who is comfortable managing a wide range of HR functions in a small to mid-sized business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process payroll accurately and on schedule Oversee full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations Administer and maintain employee records and HR documentation Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions Manage workers' compensation claims and related reporting Oversee leave administration, including FMLA and other applicable programs Develop and implement HR policies and procedures as needed Provide guidance to management on HR best practices

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a small to mid-sized, family-owned business Experience in the construction or general contracting industry strongly preferred Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms Familiarity with workers' compensation, FMLA, and employee benefits administration Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) 10+ years of HR generalist experience (construction industry experience a plus)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Schedule:

Part-time hours (flexible schedule to be discussed) 2-3 days per week with optional work from home

Pay:

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
