Job Description

Human Resources Assistant - Spanish bilingual An international food company is looking for a Human Resources Specialist with 2+ years of HR experience. The ideal candidate has hands on experience managing leave of absence programs, handling workers' compensation cases, and supporting employee relations, along with other HR responsibilities. This food manufacturer has been around for more than 80 years, and their products are sold at most major grocery stores. They are growing!

Shift:
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday •This is a remote Hybrid position, need to commute to the office at least three times a week. You have to commute to the office everyday for the first 3 months probation period.•Great benefits: Medical/ Dental /

K General Description:
Supports Human Resources by serving as the bridge between employees and management. Handles worker's compensation cases, leaves of absence, and employee-relations matters. Ensures compliance with corporate policy, fair employment practices, and government regulations. Principal tasks (not limited to and subject to change): Manages worker's compensation claims from case filing to closure Manages employee leaves of absence (FMLA, PDL, CFRA, etc.) Conducts investigations into employee relations matters Leads monthly Production/HR meetings regarding employee relations matters Assists with investigations as a member of Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) Assists the department and company in maintaining legal compliance by keeping up to date on federal and state laws, as well as company policies (webinars, trainings, etc.) Updates company documents as needed based on changing laws and regulations Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential Assists with administration of disciplinary/counseling actions, and terminations as needed Acts as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking employees as needed Translates documents from Spanish to English and vice versa as needed Answers company phone/door and provides general support to callers and visitors as needed Required Skills English and Spanish proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) Strong morals and work ethic Detail-oriented Dependable Adhere to confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Suite Personable and approachable Problem-solving Self-starter Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines This company has been outsourcing the recruiting matters to Ingredi, Inc., a recruiting agency.
