Shared Services Specialist to support leave administration activities and provide guidance to managers and employees regarding leave-related processes and policies. This individual will play a key role in administering and coordinating Leave of Absence (LOA), FMLA, STD, LTD, and return-to-work activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling sensitive employee matters, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on understanding of leave laws and HR operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Administer and coordinate Family & Medical Leave (FMLA), family illness requests, and other leave-related activities for employees Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding leave policies, procedures, and compliance matters Coordinate FMLA with Workers' Compensation, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and PTO programs Prepare biweekly payroll disability pay notification reports Support employees throughout leave processes and advocate for successful return-to-work transitions Collaborate with internal HR teams, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and Field HR partners to resolve leave-related matters Review daily dashboard metrics to ensure service levels and SLA expectations are met Monitor leave trends and provide recommendations to reduce leave frequency/duration and improve return-to-work outcomes Generate reports and analytics to support HR strategy and operational decision-making Participate in HR and company-wide initiatives and projects Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered) 4+ years of Leave of Absence (LOA) administration experience Strong understanding of FMLA, STD, LTD, Workers' Compensation, and leave laws/compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information professionally Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Experience influencing and advising managers on HR policies and procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with HR case management systems or leave management technology preferredSimilar remote jobs
