Join Girl Scouts Louisiana East and help girls discover opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and have fun! As a Membership Recruiting Specialist, you will connect with families, schools, community organizations, and potential volunteers to grow Girl Scouting throughout your assigned area. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk-every-day job. You will attend events, build community relationships, follow up with prospective members, and help new girls and volunteers get started. What You'll Do (overview) Recruit new girl and adult members through community outreach, events, presentations, and follow-up. Build relationships with schools, churches, community organizations, and local partners. Coordinate and participate in engaging recruitment events and activities. Identify and encourage potential troop leaders and other volunteers. Track leads, maintain accurate records, and use results to strengthen recruitment efforts. Support new volunteers through onboarding, training, and ongoing communication. Help current members stay connected and engaged. Why You'll Love It! Meaningful work that positively impacts girls and families. A flexible hybrid schedule with both remote and community-based work. A fun, active environment where no two days are exactly alike. Opportunities to attend events, lead activities, meet new people, and represent a trusted nonprofit organization. A role that is both rewarding and challenging—with rarely a dull moment! What You'll Need (minimum requirements) Associate's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred. At least three years of experience in sales, recruitment, marketing, lead generation, customer service, or a related area. Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-up skills. Comfort using Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to travel within the Council's service area and lift event materials weighing up to 35 pounds. Availability for a flexible workweek that includes some evenings and weekends. Experience working with youth, volunteers, community programs, or nonprofit organizations is preferred. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. Bring your energy, creativity, and people skills to a role where your work helps build the next generation of leaders!
