Position Number FP168A Location Remote Job Summary The Talent & Organizational Development Consultant provides strategic and consultative support to the Manager of Organizational & Talent Development and division leadership. This position exercises independent judgment in guiding organizational design, position management, and talent strategies that align with university and state classification standards. The role leads projects related to succession planning, workforce analytics, and process optimization, ensuring operational continuity and compliance. It also researches and implements best practices in talent acquisition and professional development to strengthen workforce capability and engagement.
Hiring Range:
$50,000-$57,000 , commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Position Type FullTime Type of Recruitment General Public Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or related field of study required. Or a combination of related education, training and related work experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in the preceding fields of study. Basic knowledge of position management, classification systems, recruitment processes, performance management, and succession planning Ability to accurately manage a tracking system including data entry, reporting, and position tracking. Strong written and verbal communication Proficiency in Microsoft products including Teams Working knowledge of workflow optimization. Proven ability to manage sensitive personnel data with discretion and integrity Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, administration, and department teams. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of higher education Basic experience in talent management to include state hiring processes Master's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or related field of study required. Or a bachelor's degree in a related field of study with related work experience equivalent to a master's degree. Conditions of Employment This is a remote position , requiring a traditional 40-hour work week. Computer equipment will be supplied for remote work; high-speed internet is the responsibility of the employee. The equipment provided to staff with approved telework agreements enables them to deliver vital services to University faculty, staff, and students from remote locations. Many of our operations can and should continue as usual, even when the main physical campus is closed. Therefore, all division employees with an approved telework agreement are generally expected to work during official University closures. Should travel be required, budgetary constraints may limit where the successful candidate can reside. In addition, existing payroll limitations on locations a remote employee may work from could limit the selection of the final candidate.
