Job Description

Workday HRIS Data Analyst Location:
Milwaukee, WI 53129 (Hybrid) Full-Time Occasional travel may be required Position Overview The Workday HRIS Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data within the Workday HCM system. This role focuses heavily on data validation, reporting, and EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) processes to support HRIS operations, system testing, and ongoing business needs. This individual will partner closely with
HRIS, HR
Operations, and technical teams to identify data issues, support system changes, and enhance reporting capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Data Validation & Integrity Perform comprehensive data validation across Workday HCM to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency Identify data discrepancies, anomalies, and gaps; perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions Support data reconciliation efforts between Workday and legacy or integrated systems Ensure ongoing data integrity through regular audits and validation processes EIB Development & Data Management Design, build, and execute Workday EIBs for data loads, updates, and mass changes Validate data post-load to ensure successful processing and accuracy Troubleshoot EIB errors and partner with technical teams to resolve issues Maintain documentation for EIB processes and data load procedures Reporting & Analytics Develop and maintain Workday reports using: Report Writer Advanced Reports Composite Reports Create audit and validation reports to identify inconsistencies and ensure data quality Build reports to support testing efforts (UAT, regression, and release testing) Develop calculated fields and custom reports to meet business and HRIS needs Testing & System Support Support system testing efforts by creating validation reports and analyzing test results Assist with Workday releases and system updates, ensuring data accuracy post-deployment Provide reporting and data support for system enhancements and projects Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with HRIS and business stakeholders to define reporting and data requirements Monitor data integrations and validate data flow between Workday and external systems Identify opportunities to improve data validation processes and reporting capabilities Support ongoing HRIS initiatives, projects, and priorities Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in Workday HRIS, reporting, or data analysis Hands-on experience with: Workday EIB creation and execution Workday reporting tools Experience supporting data validation, auditing, or system testing efforts Skills & Capabilities Strong knowledge of Workday HCM data structures and reporting architecture Proficiency with: Workday Report Writer, Advanced & Composite Reports Calculated fields and custom reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets Advanced Excel (or Google Sheets) skills for data manipulation and validation High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and business teams Understanding of HR and payroll data concepts preferred Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Workday data validation during implementations, acquisitions, or system transformations Exposure to integrations and data reconciliation across systems Experience working with large, complex datasets Work Environment Office-based or hybrid environment Flexibility to support system updates, releases, or critical issues outside standard business hours Occasional travel may be required
