HR Generalist

About the Role We are looking for a motivated and organized HR Coordinator / Recruiter to join our team with our Lincoln, RI facility. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the full recruiting lifecycle for manufacturing and engineering positions, while also supporting day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and understands the unique challenges of hiring skilled trades and technical talent. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Manage end-to-end recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, and engineering roles from job posting through offer acceptance. Source candidates through job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.), trade schools, vocational programs, and local workforce development partners. Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-volume or recurring positions. Coordinate pre-employment steps including background checks, drug screens, and reference checks HR Generalist Support Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and first-day readiness. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with applicable regulations. Support benefits administration, open enrollment coordination, and employee inquiries. Assist with tracking attendance, leaves of absence, and FMLA paperwork. Help ensure compliance with federal and Rhode Island state employment laws. Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects as assigned. Qualifications Required 13 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a related role. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously. Familiarity with HRIS platforms. Strong interpersonal and communication skills comfortable engaging with both shop floor and office staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, or engineering roles Knowledge of Rhode Island employment law and I-9/E-Verify compliance Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
