Position Summary :
The Sr HR Generalist serves as an HR partner for the North America region, providing both strategic and hands-on support across all functional areas of Human Resources. This role partners closely with the Head of HR North America to drive organizational effectiveness, foster employee engagement, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business objectives through proactive HR initiatives. In the absence of the Head of Human Resources, this position serves as the lead HR representative for the region. What you can look forward to as a
Sr HR Generalist :
HR Business Partnership Partner with regional leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and support organizational objectives. Serve as an HR resource for managers and employees, delivering timely and effective solutions on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning. Act as the lead Human Resources representative for the North America region in the absence of the Head of Human Resources. Employee Relations & Compliance Provide expert guidance to managers on employee relations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement, investigations, conflict resolution, and terminations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices. Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR recordkeeping requirements. Prepare and submit EEO-1 reporting, Affirmative Action Plans, and ensure required labor law postings remain current. Coordinate immigration and visa sponsorship activities in partnership with external immigration providers. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support recruitment, hiring, and employment activities for the North America region. Lead new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience and successful integration into the organization. Partner with leadership to support employee retention initiatives and workforce planning strategies. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Administer hourly and non-management compensation programs, including salary administration guidelines. Coordinate annual Open Enrollment, communicate benefit changes, and assist employees in resolving benefit-related issues. Process payroll accurately and maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) data integrity. Performance Management & Talent Development Assist & monitor the annual performance review process, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timelines. Identify development needs and partner with the Head of Human Resources to implement leadership and employee development programs. Coordinate and maintain employee training records and administer local learning and development initiatives. HR Operations & Organizational Effectiveness Maintain organizational charts and workforce data for the North America region. Assist in the development, implementation, communication, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Safety & Risk Management Partner with local management to promote a strong safety culture and support workplace safety initiatives. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Quality & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, increase operational efficiency, and enhance the employee experience through continuous improvement initiatives. Your Profile as a
Sr HR Generalist :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience , preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated experience supporting multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, training and development, and HR operations. Experience recruiting technical and professional talent at all levels of the organization, including engineering, IT, operations, sales, and other specialized roles. Strong working knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, HR compliance requirements, and government reporting obligations. Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, employee data management, recordkeeping, and payroll-related processes; experience with ADP strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word . Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex situations, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong consultative and coaching skills with the ability to guide managers and employees through sensitive, complex, and emotional workplace issues. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and locations. Preferred Skills and Experience Professional Human Resources certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
. Working knowledge of SAP or other enterprise HR/ERP systems. Experience facilitating training sessions, workshops, employee meetings, and group discussions. Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations. Knowledge of workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, and change management practices.
