Duties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(Order of Essential Functions does not indicate importance of functions.) Provide support to the department regarding employee compensation issues and ensuring consistent methodology is used and consideration is made in respect to external competitiveness and internal equity. Assist in answering questions and assisting employees with County Benefit programs. Coordinate employee relations for the department to ensure that the policies and procedures for the department fall within County policies and procedures and that these policies and procedures are administered fairly and equitably in the department. Provide supervision, support, and leadership for the Administrative Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant II positions. Oversee, track and evaluate the use of leave and accommodations to ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and procedures. This is an essential position of the department and required to participate in departmental activations. Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalency. Progressively responsible professional HR experience working in several different HR areas or working in a specialist HR and assisting in several different HR areas. Bachelors in Human Resource Management, Personnel & Labor Relations or Management preferred. Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP or- SCP, HRCI, or equivalent).
