Position Overview:
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources support to employees, supervisors, managers, and leadership across the organization. This is a hands-on HR role supporting a manufacturing environment and partnering with leaders at all levels to address workforce needs, employee relations, recruiting, performance management, training, compliance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is approachable, highly responsive, and comfortable working directly with employees and leaders throughout the organization. Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are required to effectively support our diverse workforce. Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems.
- Working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, OSHA, wage and hour requirements, and applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to respond to changing business needs.

- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, reports, and HR documentation.
- Serve as a resource to employees and management regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment practices.
- Administer day-to-day HR programs, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, employee engagement, and retention.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Prepare HR reports and regulatory filings, including EEO-1 reporting, and support HR audits.
- Support ongoing HR process improvements and compliance initiatives. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support the recruitment and selection process.
- Prepare and post job advertisements and coordinate candidate communications and interviews.
- Support employment offers, pre-employment requirements, and related documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
- Ensure new hire information and documentation are accurately entered and maintained in the HRIS. Employee Relations
- Provide guidance and support regarding employee relations matters, including attendance, performance, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Assist managers with performance management, coaching, corrective action, and employee documentation.
- Assist with employee investigations and resolution of workplace concerns.
- Conduct and/or coordinate exit interviews.
- Manage and/or support the unemployment claims process.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality related to employee relations matters. HR, Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Administer employee HR, payroll, and benefits processes, including new hires, status changes, compensation updates, deductions, enrollments, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate employee information in the HRIS and provide timely updates to support payroll and benefits administration.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollment, eligibility, claims resolution, COBRA, open enrollment, and employee communications.
- Review benefit invoices and coordinate vendor communications, renewals, and approvals.
- Support payroll administration and address employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
- Assist with retirement and pension plan administration.
- Prepare HR reports and regulatory filings, including EEO-1 reporting.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state payroll, benefits, and employment requirements. Performance, Training, & Compliance
- Administer the performance review process and support managers with performance coaching, documentation, and corrective action.
- Coordinate and support employee training initiatives, including required compliance and workplace training.
- Monitor HR practices and processes for compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Provide guidance to management regarding HR policies, employment practices, and compliance requirements.
Success Metrics Success in this role will be measured by the HR Generalist's ability to build trust with employees and leaders, provide effective and timely HR support, strengthen employee relations, maintain compliance, support staffing and retention, and serve as a strong bilingual HR resource across the organization.
