Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team at Native Nations Cannabis. In this unique and challenging role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, balancing the duties of an HR Generalist with the strategic responsibilities of an HR Manager. You will play a vital role in shaping and implementing HR policies and practices while fostering a positive work environment in a rapidly growing and culturally diverse organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Lead the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to onboarding, to attract and retain top talent.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive work environment, resolve employee concerns, and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Performance Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain performance appraisal systems, coaching managers and employees on performance improvement.
Compliance and Legal:
Ensure HR policies and practices align with local, state, and federal regulations, including those specific to the cannabis industry and the reservation/tribal nation working alongside the NNC attorney.
Training and Development:
Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Benefits Administration:
Oversee benefits packages, including health, retirement, and wellness programs.
HR Reporting:
Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to track key metrics
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's objectives and mission.
Policy Development:
Create, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Organizational Development:
Lead organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Compensation and Rewards:
Manage compensation and benefits strategies to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
Employee Engagement:
Promote a culture of engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
Conflict Resolution:
Handle complex HR issues, mediating disputes and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
Budget Management:
Oversee the HR budget, making data-driven decisions for resource allocation. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
All positions require a minimum of a criminal background check. Bachelor Degree or 5 years experience. Proven experience as an HR Generalist and HR Manager in a regulated industry. Familiarity with South Dakota employment laws and regulations, as well as specific cannabis industry regulations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of confidentiality and ethics. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Must sit and focus for extended periods of time.
