Full Job Description Human Resources Specialist Pay Range:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour (DOE) We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Human Resources Specialist to support the daily operations of our HR department and serve as a resource for employees across the organization. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with people, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with employment policies, and delivering exceptional internal customer service. Summary This position will be responsible for recording and documenting in the HRIS system new hire paperwork, terminations, wage increases, position changes/transfers or promotions. Provide support with the daily operations of Human Resources department and assist with projects to include benefit administration, onboarding, compensation, policy administration, HRIS maintenance, Leave administration, training and development, and much more Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the preparation of biweekly payroll Handle administration of electronic payroll/HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now). Setup each employee per valid programs. Maintain adherence to FLSA. Monitor electronic timecards. Ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll service Responsible for the coordination efforts between Payroll/HR and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data; preparation of reports Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review for proper authorization and adherence to policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations Process new employees, terminations, transfers, and promotions Complete requests for pay-related documents including statement and verifications Assist with the daily operations of the HR department Manage document retention for HR department Assist with department improvement activities Requirements Minimum of 1-2 years HR/payroll experience preferred Associate degree in Business Administration/Human Resources preferred Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Effective communication skills, written and verbal Acute attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook)
