HR GENERALIST POSITION SUMMARY

This is a hands-on Human Resources Generalist role supporting a 24/5 manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for owning payroll, managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple role types, and providing day-to-day HR support to both plant and office employees. This individual will report to the Head of HR and serve as a key backup to the Head of HR and HR Administrator. Must be responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and process biweekly payroll using ProLiant, ensuring accuracy of wages, deductions, garnishments, and compliance with all applicable regulations Manage full-cycle recruiting (approximately 15-20 hours per week) for a variety of roles including engineering, administrative, and operational positions Maintain accurate and organized employee records, including personnel files, I-9s, and compliance documentation Serve as backup to the Head of HR, handling routine employee relations matters and day-to-day HR support as needed Provide support to the HR Administrator, including onboarding, orientation, badge systems, and general HR operations Assist employees with benefits administration, including FMLA, STD, workers' compensation, 401(k), and paid time off Ensure data accuracy within HRIS systems and support reporting as needed Coordinate employment verifications, unemployment claims, and related documentation Participate in safety initiatives and support plant-level HR activities Assist with training coordination, company events, and communication of HR updates Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and internal policies Respond to plant leadership needs with a strong sense of urgency and clear communication regarding priorities and timelines Occasionally support plant operations during off-hours (early mornings or evenings) for training or employee engagement activities

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or high-volume workforce environment preferred Hands-on payroll processing experience required (ProLiant strongly preferred; ADP, Paychex, or similar systems acceptable) Experience recruiting across multiple role types (hourly, administrative, and/or technical roles) Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in record keeping and compliance Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion Comfortable working in both office and plant environments Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Experience in ISO-14001 or

ISO-13485

environments is a plus

WORK SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT

Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Flexibility to adjust hours based on business needs (e.g., early start or later start times such as 6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM) Occasional early morning or evening support required (typically limited and planned) Combination of office work and time spent on the manufacturing floor
