HR Generalist Plano, Texas Contract Opportunity $20-$21 per Hour Position Highlights Full-time contract opportunity $20-$21 per hour Benefits begin Day 1 Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays Opportunity to gain experience within a large HR Shared Services environment Position Summary Reliance One, Inc. is hiring an HR Generalist for one of our trusted clients in the automotive industry. The HR Generalist will provide a high level of customer service to employees by accurately and promptly responding to HR and employee experience inquiries. Questions will cover a wide range of topics, including benefits, compensation, HR policies, facilities, expense reporting, employee development, and general employee support. This position will support an HR Shared Services team focused on transforming the way HR engages with employees. The ideal candidate will have a customer-first mindset, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage a high volume of HR inquiries while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses to employee HR and workplace inquiries Support questions related to benefits, compensation, HR policies, employee development, facilities, expense reporting, and other employee experience topics Seek to understand employee needs and clarify questions when additional information is required Process and verify Form I-9 documentation in accordance with federal employment eligibility requirements Ensure accurate I-9 completion, tracking, documentation, and audit readiness Maintain strong attention to detail when identifying impacted employee populations, including job level, worker type, work location, and business entity Research employee questions using internal resources, policies, procedures, and HR knowledge libraries Lead escalated inquiries through resolution while maintaining communication with HR Shared Services partners Coordinate the handoff of inquiries to appropriate subject matter experts and stakeholders when necessary Utilize Workday to track, manage, document, and resolve HR inquiries and processes Ensure employee questions and HR cases are resolved accurately and within established timelines Maintain complete and accurate documentation of employee interactions Protect confidential employee and organizational information Collaborate with HR team members and business partners to provide a positive employee experience Qualifications Previous customer service and/or HR-related experience Customer-first mindset with a strong commitment to providing a positive employee experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate in a professional yet approachable manner Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to successfully manage a high volume of inquiries and tasks Proven ability to collaborate with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Proficiency with HR management systems; Workday experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including: Word Excel PowerPoint Teams Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes High school diploma or GED required; additional education is welcomed Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping employees, researching answers, solving problems, and providing excellent customer service. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced HR environment where you may be handling a high volume of questions while still ensuring each employee receives an accurate, thoughtful, and timely response. Experience with HR Shared Services, Workday, Form I-9 processing, benefits, HR policies, or employee support would be especially valuable in this role.
