N/A Job Summary The Field Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting daily HR operations across multiple locations and business units. This position partners closely with management and employees to support keys areas of human resources. Essential Job Duties/Functions Travel to various company locations and work at the locations to interact with managers and employees to monitor employee morale and company culture. Maintain accurate HR records, documentation and reporting while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. Process complaints regarding harassment, discrimination or other policy violations and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. Assist in communication, interpretation and advising of policies and procedures with respect to the company handbook and other documented guidelines. Distribute internal communications are required and ensure legally required postings are in place including labor law posters. Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulations. Assists with administering onboarding and new-hire orientations. Distributes all benefits enrollment materials as needed. Responds to all human resources related inquiries from managers and employees. This can include benefits, policy interpretation and other general inquiries. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Assists with the open enrollment process when needed. Ensures employees are trained and knowledgeable about company products, services, policies and processes. Prepares timely and accurate reports as requested. Attends meetings as required/requested to review performance and develop plans. Communicates with departments on a timely basis to identify and resolve questions and/or issues. (Operations Fleet/Plant maintenance, QC, HR, Safety, etc.) Ensures employee awareness of safety and emergency policies and procedures, and report violations. Provides a positive working environment for all employees. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience Bachelor's degree in human resources or related curriculum preferred but will consider applicable work experience in lieu of a degree. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels within the company. Advanced knowledge of HRIS and other systems with the ability to learn new technical systems. Possess a resourceful mindset and must be thorough and very detail oriented. Prefer experience supporting multiple locations. Results driven work record that demonstrates an understanding of process. Demonstrated effective communications skills Demonstrated ability to interact with employees at all organizational levels. Demonstrated record of working collaboratively with others to achieve goals. Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers to include working experience with software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Command Series, Verifi, Lytx, and various time and attendance software. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements Occasional periods of standing and walking on even/uneven, wet/dry surfaces. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100lbs. Frequent bending, stooping and kneeling. Occasional/frequent reaching, grabbing, pushing and pulling. Ability to distinguish colors. Occasional/frequent climbing of steps and ladders. Must be able to hear noises. Environmental Conditions (Personal protective equipment is provided where required or requested) Job duties are performed indoors and outdoors. Occasional exposure to extremes in temperature, moisture, dust and noise. Occasional exposure to uneven and wet surfaces. Occasional exposure to chemicals, water, cement, and additives.
