  • :•Under general supervision, assists the Human Resources department with a variety of administrative and clerical functions.
Responsibilities include providing support in recruitment, onboarding, personnel records management, benefit administration, employee relations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role does not include payroll or timekeeping functions.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including completion and verification of documentation, orientation scheduling, and benefits enrollment assistance.
  • Maintain employee files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits; answer routine questions, distribute informational materials, and liaise with benefits providers as needed.
  • Assist in preparing, updating, and distributing HR-related forms, correspondence, and reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general information regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing employee training sessions and maintaining records of participation.
  • Help monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Participate in HR-related projects, such as employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and policy updates.
  • Maintain HR databases and enter information accurately.
  • Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, data entry, scheduling, and ordering supplies for the department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of basic human resources principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn HR software.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and documentation.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or coursework in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a human resources setting, is desirable.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Duties may require sitting, standing, reaching, and lifting light office materials.
  • Regular interaction with employees and external contacts.
