Job Description
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Legendary Fruit Company is a vertically integrated tree fruit (apples, pears, and cherries) grower, packer and distributor based in Chelan, Manson and Wapato, Washington. Through a series of acquisitions, we have assembled one of the largest tree fruit platforms in the country with proprietary varieties, regional diversification, and a large quantity of fruit. This position will work for Manson Growers located in Manson, WA.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with managers and supervisors to enforce human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Communicates policy updates and coordinates required training or educational initiatives.
- Supports the workers' compensation program by assisting employees with new claim filings and ongoing claim management.
- Oversees and administers employee training programs.
- Oversees employee benefits administration, including renewal, enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Manage sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding activities in collaboration with leadership.
- Administers the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding.
- Processes unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
- Completes annual regulatory compliance filings.
- Assists the Orchard HR/H-2A Manager with Orchard HR-related functions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources required. Related experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- A minimum of five years of human resource management experience required.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Knowledge in Paylocity preferred.
Physical Requirements/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Ability to write, communicate, understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information in English and Spanish.
- Ability to plan, organize, and carry out assignments from management staff with minimal direction.
- Ability to analyze situations, interpret data and make decisions that have moderate impact on immediate work unit.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job duties in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to maintain accurate files and records.
- Physical requirements for this position include hearing, seeing, speaking, feeling, reaching, pinching, and repetitive motions.
- This position requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
- This position requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force in order to lift, carry, pull, or move objects.
