Job Description

Regional Human Resources Generalist More Than a Job — Supporting People Who Support Care Our Regional Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the people who care for our residents every day. This position goes beyond traditional HR functions, serving as a trusted partner to leadership and team members, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance while enhancing the employee experience across both communities. What You'll Do Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention Serve as the primary HR partner for team members and leadership across both locations Foster a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture Collaborate with Executive Directors on staffing, employee relations, and operational improvements Coordinate hiring processes, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding Maintain accurate personnel records, HRIS systems, and compliance documentation Support scheduling, attendance tracking, and employee relations documentation Lead training, development, and employee engagement initiatives Ensure compliance with all employment laws and healthcare regulations Manage Workers' Compensation claims and return-to-work processes Support audits and maintain strict confidentiality of all information Perform other duties as needed to support operations Work Schedule & Expectations Full-time position with typical hours between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Flexibility required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays Travel required between both locations (The Gardens in Hartford and The Heritage in Watertown) May be required to work beyond normal hours based on operational needs Reliable and consistent attendance is essential What You'll Need Associate's degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience with demonstrated success Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance preferred Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Flexibility and professionalism when working with diverse teams, residents, and families Knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulations is a plus Why Team Members Choose The Gardens & The Heritage Weekly pay for less stress between paychecks Career growth and cross-training opportunities Supportive leadership, training, and mentorship Employee recognition and rewards Flexible scheduling in a positive team environment Make a Meaningful Impact — Apply Today Join a team dedicated to supporting those who provide compassionate, high-quality care every day.
