Hillsboro, Wisconsin HR Generalist —Temporary role | Hillsboro, WI Overview We are seeking a temporary HR Generalist to provide hands-on, day-to-day HR partnership during a leave of absence. This is an on-site role primarily based at our Hillsboro facility, supporting both the Hillsboro plant and our Byron, MN plant. You'll be a trusted resource for leaders and employees—providing practical guidance, strengthening performance and engagement, and helping ensure consistent HR practices aligned with Group policies and site needs. This assignment is ideal for an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist who enjoys working closely with operations, can flex between strategic support and tactical execution, and can confidently navigate employee relations and change in a plant environment.

Monday through Friday, between 8AM and 5PM •About 30 hours a week total for the length of the role Required Skills Ability to provide HR coaching and guidance to line managers, team leaders, and employees in alignment with policies and procedures Working knowledge across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, performance management, and employee communications Employee relations capability, including advising on performance, grievance, and disciplinary matters Strong stakeholder partnership skills and the ability to build credibility with site leadership Clear communication and influencing skills with a customer-service mindset Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and drive for results Openness to travel to additional facility as needed (mileage covered) Nice to Have Skills Experience supporting manufacturing or Food/FMCG environments Experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, or local change programs Experience producing HR insights and reporting for leadership meetings and decision-making Familiarity with HRIS tools; SuccessFactors experience is desirable Experience supporting talent and succession planning, leadership development, and training delivery Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field (post-graduate qualification or HR certification is a plus); associate degrees with relevant experience will also be considered At least 2+ years of experience in a similar HR role is preferred (experience level flexibility may be considered based on fit) ABR Employment Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
