Health Insurance•About the Role Our firm is partnering with a leading nonprofit health insurance organization headquartered in the Midwest to identify a Workforce Management Analyst to join their growing team. This organization serves members across multiple states and is known for its focus on affordability, service quality, and operational excellence within the healthcare industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a pathway to full-time employment. Candidates must be eligible and interested in conversion without sponsorship. This role is primarily focused on workforce planning across operational areas such as Enrollment, Billing, Reconciliation, and Appeals & Grievances, rather than traditional call center environments. Job Description The Workforce Management Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate volume forecasts and capacity plans that align with operational goals and financial targets. This position plays a key role in ensuring staffing strategies effectively support business demand through data-driven insights and strategic modeling. The analyst will leverage historical data, trend analysis, and anticipated internal and external factors to build forecasts, clearly articulating assumptions and rationale. Additionally, the role involves creating comprehensive workforce models, reconciling forecast inputs and outputs, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop volume forecasts using historical data and forward-looking assumptions Build and maintain capacity plans aligned with service level targets and budget expectations Analyze trends across operational areas such as enrollment, billing, and claims-related functions Partner with business stakeholders to model scenarios and clearly communicate trade-offs and impacts Perform root cause analysis to identify and address performance gaps Reconcile forecasting assumptions, inputs, and outputs within workforce management models Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and optimize workforce utilization Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear and professional manner
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant workforce management, forecasting, or analytics experience Proven ability to develop accurate forecasts and capacity plans that meet service level and budget targets Experience modeling multiple scenarios and effectively communicating trade-offs to stakeholders Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and drive data-informed decisions Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with workforce management tools such as Verint, NICE, or comparable platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
