SSS Comprehensive STEM Advisor 533015 Fairbanks, Alaska, United States On Campus Staff Full-time Grade 79 UAF Student Services Add to favorites View favorites UAF Student Support Services (TRIO) is looking for a Comprehensive STEM Advisor committed to educational access and support to join our team! SSS is a federally-funded TRIO program with two grants (STEM & Classic), as well as institutional funds, that serves 400 limited income, first-generation, and college students who experience a documented disability. The program's mission is to assist this diverse population of students toward the goal of graduating with a bachelor's degree and accessing gainful employment or graduate school opportunities. To thrive in this role you must be passionate about helping students navigate the university environment and gain self-efficacy along the way to earning a college degree. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive environment for students to learn and grow in order to prepare them for gainful employment or graduate school. Our advisors should be ready to collaborate on projects and events and be prepared to grow as student success professionals. As a Comprehensive Advisor you would play a pivotal role in our student's academic journey, and have the opportunity to positively impact hundreds of students' lives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree must be from post-secondary institutions that have regional accreditation recognized by the US Department of Education and/or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.Position Details:
This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience. Application review will begin on September 7, 2026 .
