Job Description

Contract Recruiter We are seeking an experienced Recruiter for a contract assignment supporting talent acquisition within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting for technical, manufacturing, engineering, skilled-trades, and corporate positions while partnering closely with hiring managers to meet critical workforce needs. The ideal candidate has experience recruiting in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or another highly technical industry and can quickly establish credibility with hiring managers and candidates. Starting as a hardware supply store during the California Gold Rush and eventually assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to early aerospace pioneers like Lindbergh, Douglas and Lockheed. Today Ducommun is a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our Performance Center in Carson, CA is the Engineered Products Group site for our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, and Radio Frequency (RF) product lines. Job Summary Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake through sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding. Support multiple open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining strong candidate pipelines and recruiting timelines. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruiting strategies, and define candidate profiles. Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, employee referrals, recruiting events, and other channels. Recruit for roles including engineering, CNC machining, manufacturing, production, quality, inspection, maintenance, supply chain, and corporate functions. Conduct candidate screening and assessments based on technical qualifications, experience, and organizational fit. Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring teams. Develop relationships with passive candidates and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill positions. Support recruiting events, technical-school outreach, career fairs, and other talent-acquisition initiatives. Maintain accurate candidate activity and documentation in the ATS. Track recruiting metrics including pipeline activity, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance. Ensure recruiting activities follow applicable employment laws, company policies, and aerospace-industry requirements. Provide recruiting-market insights and recommendations to hiring managers and HR leadership. Required Skills and Qualifications Demonstrated experience recruiting technical, engineering, manufacturing, or skilled-trades talent. Strong sourcing, candidate assessment, interviewing, and offer-negotiation skills. Experience with ATS platforms and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter. Ability to quickly learn organizational structures, technical requirements, and hiring priorities in a contract environment. Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple requisitions and changing priorities with minimal supervision. High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential candidate information. Required Experience and Education H.S. Diploma or GED Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, Psychology, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or a related technical industry.

USD 38.00 - 42.00
