Position Summary The HR Recruiter is responsible for leading and coordinating recruitment efforts for a variety of positions within the organization, including social workers, administrative staff, and leadership roles. This position helps ensure an efficient, inclusive, and values-driven hiring process aligned with Together California's mission and culture. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified and mission-aligned candidates Recruit for social work, administrative, leadership, and support staff positions Conduct interviews, coordinate reference checks, and assist with onboarding activities Build partnerships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and professional networks Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) hiring initiatives and practices Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking systems Participate in job fairs, networking events, and outreach activities Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred Two to three years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience preferred, ideally in nonprofit or child welfare settings Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruitment best practices Understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) hiring principles Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality Ability to work flexible hours as needed Ability to clear required background clearances Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record Commitment to Together California's mission, values, and philosophy
