Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist, specifically supporting students with orthopedic impairments. Background in educational or rehabilitation settings, with a strong understanding of assistive technology options and assessment processes. Certification as an Assistive Technology Specialist required (national certification preferred but not mandatory). Must possess a credential beyond CEU completion. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, educators, and families. Compassionate communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. Availability for on-site work, providing support directly to students, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate the unique needs of students with profound orthopedic impairments. Recommend, demonstrate, and coordinate the acquisition of appropriate assistive and medical technology.
