Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Recruiter for a contract opportunity with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Santa Rosa, CA. This role supports full-cycle recruiting activities, candidate screening, interview coordination, applicant tracking, and hiring manager communication across multiple operational needs. The Recruiter will be part of a collaborative Human Resources team that values professionalism, confidentiality, service, and clear communication. Key Responsibilities
- Review application materials, assess candidate qualifications, and compare experience to job requirements.
- Conduct screening interviews, verify references, and provide candidate updates to hiring managers.
- Coordinate phone, web-based, and in-person interviews while managing schedules and communication.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and track applicants through the hiring process in the applicant tracking system.
- Monitor job postings and job board activity to support recruiting pipelines.
- Partner with hiring managers and the HR team to ensure consistent application of recruiting processes, programs, and policies. Compensation and Benefits
- $25.00 to $26.00 per hour. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support candidate identification, screening, interview coordination, and recruitment process administration.
- Manage applicant tracking, candidate records, job posting activity, and hiring manager communication.
- Assist hiring teams with applicant review, interview logistics, and job offer-related coordination.
- Minimum of one year of recruiting experience preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems or automated HR, payroll, database, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed and accurate records.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional public contact.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong confidentiality, professionalism, organization, and customer service skills.
- Experience with Paycom is helpful for tracking candidates through the hiring process. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting in a nonprofit, mission-driven, human services, or community-focused environment.
- Familiarity with structured hiring processes, interview coordination, and candidate pipeline management.
- Prior experience supporting multiple hiring managers or departments in a fast-paced HR environment.
