Job Description

This position serves as part of a comprehensive recruitment team, to provide services and support to carry out recruitment, student success, and retention programs for prospective and current students including underrepresented populations. Additionally, this position will cultivate partnerships with high school counselors and advisors, underserved groups, community agencies, alumni, and staff to meet college goals and enhance recruitment and retention initiatives. The position is based on the Trinidad Campus but will require travel extensive in Colorado and surrounding states (including evenings/overnights/weekends), a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 35-40 pounds is expected.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Developing and maintaining relationships and communication with local area schools. Effectively manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) information. Develop and Demonstrate proficiency with Banner, Recruit, and related student information databases. Develop and executes recruitment plan, outreach activities, and campaigns to achieve recruitment goals. Conduct recruitment appointments, walking campus tours, and group information sessions for prospective students and their families to showcase
Trinidad State College:
Actively develop and execute recruiting activities, including but not limited to letter campaigns, call campaigns, events, and high school visits. Ensure communication via phone, e-mail, and other methods applicable from the inquiry with prospective students throughout the admissions process (first-time, returning, and transfer students); ability to prioritize duties. Work collaboratively to represent Trinidad State College at college fairs, high schools, career nights, financial aid nights, and other off-campus events. Maintain excellent communication skills to provide regular feedback to the supervisor and recruiting team regarding prospective students, calendar events, and recruitment requests. Demonstrate expert knowledge of academic programs (certificates and degrees) by working collaboratively with faculty and staff to learn program requirements, changes, and updates; expect outcomes, student services/costs. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusivity required Ensures prospective students complete all required enrollment forms (e.g., Enrollment, Application for Admissions, Transcript Request, Financial Aid, etc.) Assist in administrating and supporting International students. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the testing center such as maintaining test and testing room security requirements, communication of testing schedule, and work collaboratively with the registrar, CCCS, system office and sister schools to maintain testing data with TSC and assist at both campuses as needed. Develop expert knowledge of TSC institutional scholarships and provide support to ensure eligibility for awards. Develop, maintain, and assist with community outreach events such as parades and festivals Assist with and develop retention outreach activities, campaigns and events that may include collaboration with athletics and student activities. Assist in processing and maintaining international student application procedures as a DSO Other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution. Provide a high level of customer service to students, parents, and the public The position requires travel around the state and neighboring states.
