Job Summary The Placement Staffing Specialist is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary staffings and placement-related reviews to promote placement stability, ensure appropriate board rate determinations, and support compliance with separated sibling requirements. This position facilitates collaboration among case management, caregivers, placement staff, and other stakeholders; documents staffing outcomes and placement efforts; tracks applicable data and trends; and helps ensure children in licensed out-of-home care receive appropriate placement support and consideration for sibling reunification whenever safely possible. Job Duties Facilitate placement stability staffings to identify resources, resolve barriers, and support the stabilization of licensed placements Conduct routine and requested board rate review staffings to ensure foster care board rates are aligned with children's needs and eligibility in accordance with Department of Children and Families requirements Monitor sibling groups placed separately in licensed out-of-home care and coordinate efforts to promote sibling reunification when safe and appropriate Facilitate multidisciplinary staffings regarding separated siblings, placement stability concerns, board rate eligibility, and other placement-related matters Ensure required sibling separation reviews, assessments, placement efforts, and staffing outcomes are documented in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and agency procedures Evaluate placement-related information and collaborate with case teams to identify appropriate placement options while considering child safety, individual needs, sibling relationships, and placement stability Maintain data and reports related to placement stability, board rates, separated siblings, and other assigned placement initiatives Provide support to the Placement department through documentation, data entry, quality assurance activities, staffing facilitation, and other placement-related functions as assigned Assist with various Placement-related tasks, including respite coordination, placement support activities, or participation in placement assignment rotations, as needed Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, administrative rules, accreditation standards, contracts, and agency policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Schedule & Hours Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00
PM Minimum Qualifications Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
Experience:
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience working in child welfare, foster care placement, or case management, and will be familiar with Florida child welfare practices and terminology. Licensure, Certification, and/or
Registration:
Valid driver's license. Child Welfare Professional certification strongly preferred.
