The Regional Recruiter position is essential to supporting the mission and enrollment goals of Wesleyan. They are expected to develop and grow relationships with prospective students and high school guidance counselors in and around the Atlanta area and act as a support for other territory needs. This work involves a thorough understanding of College enrollment goals and the ability to accurately translate those goals into effective recruiting techniques with applicants and their parents.
Duties:
Recruits students by developing networks, visiting high schools and college admissions events, and initiating campaigns that attract students to attend the College. Manages an admissions caseload through correspondence, telephone and email in order to effectively move students through the admissions process Collaborates with parents/guardians to assist students with educational and career planning Participates in public speaking events to effectively tell the story of the institution Works collaboratively with other admissions services team and financial aid to ensure students are guided through the admissions process. Assists with the implementation of on-campus recruitment events such as preview days, scholarship day and orientation Maintains accurate documentation of student progress through the admissions process Stays up-to-date with College admissions standards, academic and student programming, news and social media
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. Must possess a valid driver's license. Experience working for an educational institution or working in the admissions office of a liberal arts college Ability to work independently on essential functions, with minimal supervision Ability to speak in public before both small and large audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Exemplary written and verbal communication skills Substantial interpersonal skills (written and verbal) This is an on-campus position that requires the ability to travel and to load and transport admissions, materials, displays and other equipment.
