at Staffmark Investment LLC in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States Job Description Recruiter - Manufacturing & Skilled Trades Long-Term Temporary (Approx. 1 Year, with Potential for Conversion) | Buffalo Grove, IL A leading global electronics manufacturing company is preparing to open a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Libertyville, IL - and we're looking for a high-energy Recruiter to help build the skilled technical workforce that will bring it to life. Based out of the company's Buffalo Grove location, this Recruiter will initially support hiring for the existing plant before transitioning focus to ramping up the new Libertyville site, sourcing and hiring highly skilled technicians for direct-hire, full-time roles in a highly automated manufacturing environment. This is a long-term temporary assignment, anticipated to run approximately one year, with potential for conversion to a permanent position. What You'll Do Lead full-cycle recruiting for roles including Automation Technicians, Injection Molding Technicians, Process Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, and other skilled technical positions Drive proactive, high-volume sourcing beyond standard job board postings - including job fairs, career fairs, and community outreach Build and maintain relationships with community colleges and technical training programs to develop a consistent pipeline of skilled talent Partner with military transition programs (including Navy station outreach) to connect veterans with technical career opportunities Actively promote the new Libertyville facility to generate awareness and interest across the local talent market Manage candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle using an applicant tracking system (ATS) Work on-site in a plant environment, engaging directly with hiring managers and the manufacturing team to understand real-time hiring needs What You'll Need 5+ years of recruiting experience in manufacturing, skilled trades, or a related technical space Strong familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) High energy and a proactive, outreach-driven approach to sourcing Comfort and confidence working within a manufacturing/plant setting Why This Role This is a rare opportunity to play a foundational role in standing up a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility from the ground up - building the technical workforce that will power its launch.
