Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
Physician Recruiter will coordinate recruitment strategies to attract highly skilled and specialized physicians for OSF HealthCare. This individual will source and develop relationships with candidates and follow them through the entire recruitment process. Documenting details in reports and our applicant tracking system, iCIMS, is expected. Involvement in the full life cycle recruitment process includes sourcing, creating marketing and advertising proposals, screening, telephone and face to face interviews, drafting interview itineraries, travel coordination, reference and background checking and benefit explanation. Serve as liaison between candidates, hospital administration, medical directors, practice mangers and hiring authorities. All of this should be accomplished by performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, vision and values.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, Communications/Marketing or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with Internet-based recruiting and applicant tracking systems
  • Two years prior recruitment, staffing, human resources, sales, marketing and/or public relations experience in health care Other skills/knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of health care recruitment industry trends.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with physicians and business partners at all levels of the organization. Ability to problem-solve and generate creative solutions to recruitment challenges. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service focus and the ability to effectively influence internal and external customers. Active membership in the Association for Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) and continued progression toward fellowship certification.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the link between effective team work and the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization. Offers help and encouragement to other employees. Treats others with courtesy and offers assistance appropriately.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills in coordinating services with co-workers and other departments/services. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and a diverse workload, while working independently and in a team environment.

  • Respects the confidentiality rights of patients/employees/guests. Discusses confidential information only in appropriate settings and only when necessary. Demonstrates an understanding of "need to know" with respect to confidential and private information.
  • Works flexible hours, with some evenings as needed.
