Our success is built on strong relationships with independent contractor drivers and a commitment to exceptional customer service, safety, and operational excellence. We are seeking an energetic and motivated Recruiter to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and supporting qualified independent contractor drivers. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and a passion for building relationships. Experience with social media recruiting and digital marketing is a plus and offers opportunities for expanded responsibilities. Position Summary The Recruiter is responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle for independent contractor drivers, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating onboarding, and maintaining positive contractor relationships. This individual will also assist with lead management through online recruiting platforms and may have the opportunity to support or manage digital recruiting initiatives through Facebook, Indeed, and other platforms. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Candidate Screening Source, recruit, and screen qualified independent contractor drivers. Review applications and verify that candidates meet company requirements, including licensing, insurance, and relevant boat or RV transportation experience. Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding employment opportunities and application status. Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified driver candidates. Contractor Relations Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective independent contractors. Provide timely support and guidance throughout the recruiting and onboarding process. Serve as a professional point of contact, ensuring every candidate has a positive recruitment experience. Onboarding Coordinate and oversee the onboarding process for new contractors. Prepare and manage onboarding documentation and required paperwork. Ensure new contractors understand company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and operational requirements. Compliance & Collaboration Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all contractors meet regulatory and company requirements. Maintain accurate recruiting records and documentation. Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and onboarding procedures. Recruiting Marketing Monitor and respond quickly to leads generated through Facebook, Indeed, and other recruiting platforms. Assist in developing recruiting campaigns to attract qualified drivers. Candidates with digital marketing experience may have the opportunity to expand Patrick Marine Transport's in-house recruiting and advertising efforts. Qualifications Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing; transportation or logistics industry experience is preferred. Knowledge of independent contractor recruiting and an understanding of contractor relationships and compliance requirements. Outstanding telephone and customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and lasting relationships. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with recruiting platforms such as Indeed, Facebook, LinkedIn, or similar tools is preferred. Basic digital marketing or social media advertising experience is a plus. Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in recruiting or talent acquisition will also be considered.
