This is a dedicated recruiting seat, not recruiting added on top of another job. Afdent is one of the largest dental organizations in the region, with a busy schedule, a wide range of services, and a team that grows every year. Right now, hiring is handled by leaders who are already running departments, which means good candidates wait too long and open positions stay open.

You would own recruiting completely:

sourcing, screening, scheduling, offers, and the pipeline that means Afdent is not starting from zero every time someone gives notice. If you like moving fast, talking to people all day, and seeing the direct result of your work in a schedule that is fully covered, you will do well here. What You Will Own Full cycle recruiting for clinical and business office positions, including assistants, hygienists, front desk, call center, and billing Active sourcing, not just waiting on applications Phone screens against defined criteria, so hiring managers only meet qualified, prepared candidates Relationships with area dental, dental assisting, and dental hygiene programs, including externships and career fairs Interview scheduling and candidate communication at every stage, including candidates who are not moving forward The team member referral process Offer coordination and keeping new hires engaged from acceptance through their first day Accurate recruiting data and a monthly scorecard on time to fill, open positions, and how many of your híres are still here at 90 days This Is a Fit If You have two or more years of full cycle or high volume recruiting You are comfortable reaching out to people directly instead of waiting for them to come to you You stay organized across many open positions and never leave a candidate without an answer You can keep a process moving with busy hiring managers without needing to be chased You represent an organization well, because for most candidates you are the first impression of Afdent This Is Not a Fit If You measure success only by how fast a position is filled rather than by whether that person is still here at 90 days You prefer to work only from an applicant queue You would rather work remotely; this role is on site, in the building, with the teams you hire for What Afdent Offers Compensation of $40,000 plus bonus incentive, based on experience A benefits package Afdent has deliberately built above what is typical for the area, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, employer paid STD and Life Insurance policy A dedicated recruiting seat with real ownership, reporting to the Director of Human Resources Steady, continuous hiring rather than a stop and start requisition cycle A leadership team that has committed to building this function properly About Afdent Afdent Patient Friendly Dentistry has served the Michiana community for decades under the leadership of Dr. Roger Pecina.
