Staffing Specialist

Penmac Staffing is hiring a Staffing Specialist to support recruiting, placement, and customer service operations in Lamar, MO. As a Staffing Specialist, you are the connection point between job seekers, client companies, and the workforce solutions that help businesses succeed. You'll recruit and place candidates, build relationships with clients and employees, and help ensure positions are filled with the right person at the right time. This role blends recruiting, customer service, sales support, and problem-solving. One minute you may be interviewing a candidate or reviewing applications. The next, you're helping an employee with a payroll question, coordinating a placement with a client, or working to fill an urgent staffing need. It's a fast-paced, people-focused position that plays a key role in helping individuals find meaningful work while supporting the workforce needs of local businesses.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)

Pay:

Complete at least two (2) reference checks per applicant (including last position held and longest position held).

Coordinate hiring steps:

interviews, background checks, drug screens, offers, and new-hire paperwork. Conduct orientations and support onboarding. Provide follow-up with associates and clients to ensure successful placements. Communicate job details with candidates and hiring managers (temp and direct-hire). Help manage day-to-day staffing needs and ensure orders are filled promptly. Provide great customer service to clients and candidates. Other duties as assigned (may include payroll support, unemployment claims, workers' comp coordination).
