Job Description

Penmac Staffing is hiring a Staffing Specialist to support recruiting, placement, and customer service operations in Lamar, MO. As a Staffing Specialist, you are the connection point between job seekers, client companies, and the workforce solutions that help businesses succeed. You'll recruit and place candidates, build relationships with clients and employees, and help ensure positions are filled with the right person at the right time. This role blends recruiting, customer service, sales support, and problem-solving. One minute you may be interviewing a candidate or reviewing applications. The next, you're helping an employee with a payroll question, coordinating a placement with a client, or working to fill an urgent staffing need. It's a fast-paced, people-focused position that plays a key role in helping individuals find meaningful work while supporting the workforce needs of local businesses.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)
Pay:
Depending on Experience Benefits Package includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Stock Ownership Wellness Counts Educational Assistance Plan What you'll do: Recruit, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for placement. Complete at least two (2) reference checks per applicant (including last position held and longest position held).
Coordinate hiring steps:
interviews, background checks, drug screens, offers, and new-hire paperwork. Conduct orientations and support onboarding. Provide follow-up with associates and clients to ensure successful placements. Communicate job details with candidates and hiring managers (temp and direct-hire). Help manage day-to-day staffing needs and ensure orders are filled promptly. Provide great customer service to clients and candidates. Other duties as assigned (may include payroll support, unemployment claims, workers' comp coordination). What we're looking for: Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred) Experience in recruiting or staffing a plus—this includes hiring in retail and hospitality Self-motivated, driven to succeed Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience communicating well with all levels within the organization Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment Ability to de-escalate a problem and provide conflict resolution is a plus About Penmac Staffing In its simplest terms, staffing is a way to connect job seekers with employers, but at Penmac Staffing it's about more than that—it's about people.
