Exempt, Full-Time Summary/Objective Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Associate Director for Graduate and Online Recruitment is a professional member of the enrollment team who conducts and manages recruitment, admission processes and operations as it relates to online and graduate program enrollment. The Associate Director represents Lees-McRae College to prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students. The Associate Director must exhibit superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students including interviews, phone calls, email and information sessions. The Associate Director creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective graduate and undergraduate online students through extensive outreach to community colleges, four-year colleges, businesses, and other organizations. The Associate Director will review applications for admission, assist with transfer credit evaluations, develop articulation agreements and partnerships, and conduct corporate outreach. The Associate Director must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators, and staff. Essential Functions Extensive travel to cover graduate fairs, community college visits/fairs, and to develop corporate partnerships with companies and organizations for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Manage all activities related to prospective online students and applicants from both community colleges and four-year colleges and universities Participate in on- and off-campus recruitment events, including open houses, university visits, community college visits, accepted student receptions, and corporate outreach Assist with updates to existing articulation agreements and memorandums of understanding with community colleges and seek out new partnerships, both in-state and out-of-state Report on recruitment initiatives, including tracking of inquiries, applications, follow-up contacts, etc. that allow for the analysis of strategies Extensive follow-up by maintaining phone, email, written and personal contact with prospective students, families and school personnel Conduct prospective student interviews and consultations for prospective online program students Promptly respond to phone calls, email and inquiries Work closely with financial aid and other offices on campus to provide information students need to convert acceptances to enrollments Participate in outreach to all community colleges in North Carolina and surrounding states, as well as establish contact with community college faculty and deans and school administrations about the college's programs and offerings Coordinate special projects as assigned Provide back-up counseling for financial aid as needed Assist in the writing and editing of enrollment materials Outreach to corporations, businesses, and community organizations, including healthcare, law enforcement, business, non-profit, and education sectors Competencies Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Must be able to work as a member of a team Detailed-oriented Goal-oriented Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment Normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like. Extensive travel is a requirement where the employee must work in high schools, at college/graduate fairs in gymnasiums and other event venues. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a permanent, 12-month, full-time position. A flexible work schedule that will include days, evenings, and weekends is required. Travel Extensive travel to cover graduate and community college fairs, in addition to visiting corporations and businesses is required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Recruiting, management, sales and extensive knowledge of higher education Excellent written and oral communication, well-developed presentation skills, and outstanding customer and quality service skills Competency with Microsoft Office applications and social media marketing platforms Ability to build relationships with students and determine the correct program fit for the students' educational, career and personal goals Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field Experience with Slate, Salesforce, or another CRM Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
