Based on experience Overview Carolina Home Health Care is seeking a dependable and experienced Recruiter & Scheduling Coordinator to help recruit, screen, onboard, and schedule caregivers, CNAs, PCAs, and home care aides. This role combines healthcare recruiting with day-to-day scheduling operations. The right candidate must be organized, responsive, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced home care environment where client coverage and caregiver reliability are critical. Responsibilities Source and recruit caregivers, CNAs, PCAs, home care aides, and nursing-related candidates. Post and manage job openings on Indeed, social media, CNA schools, community groups, and other recruiting channels. Contact applicants quickly by phone, text, and email. Screen candidates for experience, availability, reliability, transportation, location, communication skills, and fit for home care. Conduct initial interviews and recommend qualified candidates for hiring. Coordinate onboarding and collect required documents, certifications, references, background check information, and training records. Maintain caregiver pipeline, onboarding tracker, and caregiver availability list. Create, update, and manage schedules for all clients and caregivers. Match caregivers to clients based on availability, location, care needs, skills, personality fit, and continuity of care. Respond quickly to caregiver call-outs, late arrivals, and no-shows. Find replacement/fill-in caregivers for open shifts and urgent coverage needs. Maintain a backup caregiver pool for short-notice assignments. Communicate professionally with caregivers, clients, families, and agency leadership. Track recruiting activity, open shifts, filled shifts, call-outs, no-shows, and coverage updates. Help support caregiver retention through timely communication, follow-up, and issue resolution. Qualifications Prior experience in healthcare recruiting, caregiver recruitment, home care staffing, CNA/PCA hiring Strong phone, text, and email communication skills. Comfortable with high-volume applicant follow-up and caregiver outreach. Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. Able to work with urgency when shifts need coverage. Good judgment in screening candidates for reliability, professionalism, and client fit. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and caregiver information. Familiarity with EVV, Medicaid PCS, HHAExchange, Sandata, CareBridge, QiRePort, NCTracks, or similar systems is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has worked in healthcare staffing, home care, or caregiver recruitment and understands the importance of reliable client coverage. This person is proactive, persistent, and comfortable making calls, sending follow-up texts, filling urgent shifts, and keeping schedules organized.
