Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment efforts for school bus drivers . In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and coordinating the hiring process of qualified and safety-minded drivers who will transport students safely and reliably. The ideal candidate will bring strong recruitment experience, knowledge of DOT and CDL requirements, and a passion for building a pipeline of talent in the transportation sector. The ideal candidate must be positive team player who can work cooperatively with the HR, Safety and Operations Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract qualified school bus driver candidates. Source candidates through job boards, job fairs, and partnerships with CDL training schools. Create and post job advertisements in compliance with company branding and equal employment opportunity standards. Screen resumes and applications for minimum qualifications, certifications, and experience. Conduct initial interviews to assess candidate suitability, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards. Monitor recruitment metrics and report on hiring progress and challenges. Ensure all candidates meet federal, state, and local requirements, including CDL licensing, background screening, and drug testing. Support onboarding and orientation of new hires in collaboration with HR and training teams. Upload and maintain hires in the FMCSA portal. Provide final completed file to the
HR Manager Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in transportation, logistics, or a regulated industry. Knowledge of DOT and CDL licensing requirements strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in applicant tracking systems, and recruitment tools. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
