Job Description

Nurse Talent Recruiter and Mentor Position Summary This role is for 12 months only and may or may not be renewed. VNA Health Group is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nursing Talent Recruiter and Mentor . This unique role combines nursing expertise, workforce development, talent acquisition, and mentorship to help strengthen and grow our clinical nursing workforce. The Nursing Talent Recruiter and Mentor will work closely with Talent Acquisition, Nursing Leadership, Clinical Education, and Preceptors to support recruitment efforts while serving as a mentor and resource for participants in our Nursing Ladders to Success Program. This role will help build sustainable nursing talent pipelines, support professional development initiatives, and foster meaningful connections between prospective and current clinicians. Position Highlights 12-month workforce development and recruitment appointment Remote and field-based position with regular community outreach and engagement Opportunity to learn and participate in the full lifecycle of healthcare recruitment Help build and strengthen the clinical nursing workforce Lead outreach and engagement efforts for the Nursing Ladders to Success Program Collaborate with Clinical Education, Nursing Leadership, Preceptors, and Talent Acquisition Participate in innovative workforce development initiatives Mission-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives What You Will Do Nursing Workforce Recruitment Partner with Talent Acquisition to learn and support the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding Assist in identifying, attracting, and engaging qualified nursing candidates Support recruitment events, nursing school partnerships, workforce initiatives, and community outreach activities Serve as a clinical ambassador for VNA Health Group at career fairs, networking events, and community programs Promote nursing career opportunities across home health, hospice, and community-based care settings Develop relationships with educational institutions and community organizations to expand nursing talent pipelines Nursing Ladders to Success Program Serve as a mentor and advocate for Nursing Ladders to Success participants Support candidate engagement, development, and progression throughout the program Assist participants in navigating educational, clinical, and career opportunities Foster relationships that encourage retention, growth, and long-term success within VNA Health Group Coordinate community outreach and relationship-building activities that expand awareness of the program Clinical Education & Professional Development Partner with Clinical Education and Preceptors to support nurse onboarding and development initiatives Assist with workforce development strategies that promote clinical excellence and career advancement Identify opportunities to strengthen nursing engagement and retention Support professional development pathways that align with organizational needs and employee goals Organizational Engagement Promote VNA Health Group's mission, values, and culture Build strong relationships with nursing staff, leadership, educational institutions, and community partners Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workforce sustainability Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned What You Will Need Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey Bachelor's degree in Nursing required Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience Home Health, Hospice, or Community Health experience strongly preferred Interest in recruitment, workforce development, mentorship, and professional development Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to mentor and support nurses at various stages of their careers Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology platforms Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Candidate Profile Current VNA Health Group employee in good standing; or Former VNA Health Group employee who has been separated from the organization for three years or less Demonstrated passion for mentoring, coaching, and workforce development Commitment to VNA Health Group's mission and values Working Conditions Combination of remote, field, and community-based work environments Frequent interaction with candidates, nurses, leadership, educators, and community partners Regular travel throughout VNA Health Group service areas for recruitment events, community outreach activities, educational partnerships, and workforce development initiatives Occasional attendance at meetings at VNA Health Group Headquarters Regular use of computers, recruitment systems, virtual communication platforms, and mobile technology What We Offer 403B and 401a retirement plans Generous paid time off (PTO) Tuition reimbursement and continuing education programs Health, dental, and vision insurance Robust clinical support and leadership development pathways Employee referral and recognition programs Public Service Loan Forgiveness Partner Compensation Transparency In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $84,000 to USD $112,000. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
