Job Description

Sourcing Recruiter General Tool Co - 3.5 Reading, OH Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Sourcing Recruiter — Talent Acquisition Contract-to-Hire | On Site | Reports to Talent Acquisition Manager Find the People Who Build What Others Can't. GTC manufactures precision aerospace and defense components for programs that demand the best — and finding the skilled talent to keep that work moving is one of the most important things we do. The Sourcing Recruiter is the person who builds the pipeline before the need becomes urgent, engages the candidates who aren't looking yet, and makes sure our growing defense programs always have access to the talent they require. This isn't a post-and-pray role. It's proactive, strategic, relationship-driven sourcing work — and if that's where you thrive, we want to talk. And while this role starts as contract-to-hire, here's what full-time looks like at
GTC:
through our Ownership For All program, every eligible full-time employee receives an ownership stake in the business. From day one of full-time status, you're not just joining a team. You're becoming an owner. Your wins aren't just good for the company. They're good for you. What You'll Do You'll partner closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR team to deeply understand the technical qualifications, culture fit, and citizenship requirements for every open role — then go find the people who match. That means proactively identifying and engaging both passive and active candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, cold calling, job boards, internal ATS databases, and industry-specific sources. You won't wait for applications to come in. You'll go get the talent. You'll build and maintain robust, diverse pipelines for evergreen and hard-to-fill roles — the skilled trades, technical, and defense-specific positions that require more than a basic job board search to fill. You'll screen resumes, conduct initial outreach within 24 hours of identifying a strong candidate, assess interest and qualifications, and hand off warm, vetted prospects to the recruiting team ready to move. Behind the scenes, you'll keep your ATS activity accurate and current, deliver weekly pipeline metrics, and research and map talent within competitor organizations, defense contractors, and government and military communities. You'll also support employer branding efforts — representing GTC at career fairs, virtual events, and military transition programs where the candidates we need are already showing up. Where This Role Can Take You This position is intentionally designed as a launchpad. Strong performers who demonstrate sourcing excellence, business acumen, and a genuine passion for talent will have a clear path into a full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition role at GTC — owning requisitions end-to-end, building hiring manager relationships, and shaping how we bring talent into one of the most interesting manufacturing environments in the region. If you're early in your recruiting career and want to grow fast in a place that will actually let you, this is the right seat. What You Bring A minimum of three years of sourcing or recruiting experience is required, with a strong preference for technical sourcing in defense, aerospace, or skilled manufacturing. You're proficient with Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ATS platforms. You communicate clearly and build rapport quickly — with candidates and hiring managers alike. You stay organized across multiple open requisitions without dropping anything, you move with urgency, and you're the kind of recruiter who takes personal ownership of the pipeline rather than waiting for direction. U.S. citizenship is required. Why GTC A sourcing role with real strategic importance — you won't be a resume screener here, you'll be a talent pipeline builder for defense programs that matter. A collaborative HR and talent team that values what great sourcing actually looks like. A company that's growing and investing in the people function to match. A defined growth path into full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition for those who want to build a long-term career here. And a clear path to full-time status, where Ownership For All means you'll have a genuine stake in everything you're helping to build. GTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V. All applicants are considered based on experience and knowledge, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, marital status, disability, or veteran status. We are committed to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
