Job Description

We are looking for a charismatic, outgoing person to head up the recruiting and retainment functions for our agency. This person should be energetic and willing to spend time out in the field searching for the right candidates to fill the vacancies within our agency. Also, this person must have expertise in social media as a way to get the interest of today's workforce. Our agency serves individuals who need someone to support them in all aspects of their lives, and we need good candidates to fill and retain these rolls. Person Directed Supports Inc. is a human services agency dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families so they can create and enjoy happy and meaningful lives at home and in the community.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage in bringing applicants to show interest in applying and working for PDSI Recruit and attract employees through a wide variety of methods Utilize resources to retain current employees Market the agency to vendors, families, and the community at large Be a resource to current employees Assist in locating further resources for employees to meet their needs Ensure to the best of his/her ability the prospective candidates for employment, as well as current employees, carry out the agency mission in supporting the individuals receiving services to live the life they want to live. Travel throughout the agency's regions to engage in recruitment and retention activities Participate in job fairs and other recruiting activities both during the day and outside on the standard "nine to five" work day. Take an active role in the Recruitment and Retention committee and other committee and administrative meetings as assigned. Continually strive to lower the agency's staffing vacancy percentage Comply with established administrative policies and procedures. Display principles of good self-management and apply these principles in daily work performance. Make independent decisions regarding program operations within his/her authority. Conduct and compiles data on new hire surveys Completes all other assigned tasks as directed by Person Directed Supports Senior Management.
