Contract RecruiterJob Description This is a one-year contract Recruiter role that provides comprehensive recruiting and onboarding support to the Human Resources department and hiring managers. The Recruiter manages the full recruitment lifecycle for both hourly and salaried positions, with a strong focus on manufacturing roles, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, administering onboarding, and maintaining applicant tracking systems. This position serves as a key point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience while supporting the organization's staffing objectives. Responsibilities Manage the full recruitment process for assigned openings, with a primary focus on hourly manufacturing positions. Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements and organizational needs. Conduct phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and overall fit for open positions. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring timely scheduling and clear communication. Schedule and participate in hiring events, job fairs, and other recruitment activities to attract qualified talent. Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records and recruitment activity within Workday and other recruiting systems. Communicate regularly with candidates regarding application status, interview schedules, and pre-employment requirements. Assist hiring managers in maintaining candidate pipelines and tracking recruiting progress for open roles. Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, employment verifications, and collection of required documentation. Prepare offer letters and onboarding materials for new hires in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conduct new hire onboarding activities and orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Complete all required paperwork associated with new hires and ensure timely processing of employment records. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and applicant information at all times. Generate recruiting metrics and reports as requested to support HR and business leadership. Build and maintain positive working relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and Human Resources team members. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies throughout the recruiting and hiring process. Operate at all times in compliance with the company's Quality Management System, safety programs, and Code of Business Conduct. Deliver presentations to audiences of hourly and salaried employees as needed for onboarding or recruitment-related activities. Perform similar job-related duties as assigned to support HR and recruitment initiatives. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in recruiting or Human Resources-related duties. Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment for both hourly and salaried positions, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience working with an HRIS or applicant tracking system. Ability to present confidently to groups of hourly and salaried employees. Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations and their application to recruitment and hiring. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and drive recruitment processes forward. Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring high initiative and self-motivation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Workday HRIS or applicant tracking system experience is preferred. Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, orSHRM-SCP
are preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. Ability to own and drive the recruitment and onboarding process from start to finish. Interest in gaining further experience within a manufacturing environment. Paid holidays and a long contract period with potential to extend or convert to a permanent role, though not guaranteed. Work Environment This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch. The dress code is business casual, with jeans acceptable on Fridays. The role supports a manufacturing environment where the noise level is usually loud and there is frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. At times, the Recruiter may be exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions, and may frequently encounter wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and toxic or caustic substances. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, offering opportunities to work closely with operations and HR teams while supporting staffing needs in a production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Clair, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
