Capstone Logistics is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter with a background in last-mile delivery, CDL transportation, driver recruiting, or similar high-volume transportation environments . This is a fast-paced recruiting role for someone who understands the urgency of transportation recruiting, knows how to build candidate pipelines quickly, and is comfortable being accountable for hiring goals and recruiting metrics. This position will primarily work remotely while providing onsite recruiting support within local markets as business needs require . Onsite support may include hiring events, open interviews, candidate screening, and partnership with local operations teams. The Opportunity As a Contract Recruiter, you will manage full-cycle recruiting efforts with a strong focus on last-mile delivery and transportation positions , including CDL and non-CDL driver opportunities. You will partner closely with operations and recruiting leadership to identify staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies, increase candidate flow, and move qualified candidates efficiently through the hiring process. This role is ideal for a recruiter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and quickly adjust recruiting strategies based on operational hiring needs. Responsibilities Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, offers, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding support. Recruit for last-mile delivery, CDL/non-CDL transportation, driver, logistics, and other high-volume operational positions . Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines to support ongoing and rapidly changing hiring needs. Conduct proactive, high-volume candidate sourcing and outreach using job boards, resume databases, social media, referrals, networking, and direct outreach. Partner directly with hiring managers and operations leaders to understand staffing needs, hiring goals, timelines, and market challenges. Develop creative recruiting strategies to increase candidate flow in competitive and difficult-to-fill markets. Track candidate activity throughout the recruiting process and maintain accurate recruiting data. Monitor key recruiting metrics, including candidate flow, interviews, show rates, passes, offers, and hires. Provide regular recruiting updates to leadership and proactively identify staffing barriers and solutions. Coordinate and support virtual and onsite hiring events, open interviews, job fairs, and other high-volume recruiting initiatives . Provide onsite recruiting support within local markets as needed . Maintain consistent candidate communication and deliver a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Manage multiple priorities and hiring deadlines simultaneously. Stay current on transportation recruiting trends, labor market conditions, and sourcing best practices. Qualifications 2+ years of recruiting experience in a corporate, agency, staffing, or high-volume recruiting environment. Previous recruiting experience in last-mile delivery, CDL transportation, driver recruiting, delivery operations, or transportation/logistics strongly preferred. Experience recruiting CDL and/or non-CDL drivers is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience managing high-volume candidate pipelines and hiring goals. Strong sourcing skills with experience using job boards, resume databases, social media, and direct candidate outreach. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technology. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and operations leaders. Comfortable working with recruiting metrics, hiring goals, and performance expectations. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work with a high level of urgency. Must be willing and able to provide onsite recruiting support within local markets as business needs require.
