Recruiter - Skilled trades Temp-to-Hire New England Region (Remote) $40-$50 per hour Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join client for skilled trades recruiting across the New England region. This is a high-impact, full-cycle recruiting role focused on identifying and attracting top field talent, including HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades professionals. This position is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to engage passive candidates, and enjoys building strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
What You'll Do:
Manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades positions from intake through offer acceptance and onboarding. Recruit for high-demand field roles including HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and drain technicians. Build and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, referrals, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, networking, and community outreach. Identify and engage passive candidates in competitive labor markets. Partner with hiring managers and operational leaders to understand staffing needs, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities. Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and qualification assessments. Evaluate technical qualifications, certifications, and licensing requirements. Manage candidate activity, requisitions, and hiring progress within the ATS. Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular updates on pipeline activity. Track recruiting metrics including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and sourcing effectiveness. Support regional hiring initiatives and attend local recruiting events as needed.
What You Bring:
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Experience recruiting for skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, field services, home services, or other high-volume hiring environments preferred. Proven ability to source and attract passive candidates. Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and hiring managers. Ability to manage multiple open positions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through. Experience using ATS platforms and sourcing tools. Comfortable working remotely while supporting regional hiring needs. Ability to travel occasionally to branch locations, hiring events, or recruiting meetings as needed .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting across multiple locations or business units. Knowledge of skilled trades licensing and certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Experience using job advertising platforms, sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics. Existing network within the New England skilled trades market.
