Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Hybrid)

Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator independently manages assigned recruitment activities and supports full-cycle recruiting efforts across the agency. The Coordinator evaluates applicant qualifications, conducts screening interviews, recommends qualified candidates, partners with hiring managers on assigned vacancies, and monitors recruitment activity to support timely and effective hiring. The role exercises independent judgment in candidate assessment, sourcing follow-up, recruitment problem-solving, and prioritization of assigned work while maintaining accurate and compliant recruitment records and a high-quality candidate experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree plus two years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment, human resources, or a related field, or satisfactory combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated experience reviewing applicant qualifications, conducting screening interviews, and making candidate recommendations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and internal and external partners.

Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple recruitment priorities.

Experience utilizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment platforms, and sourcing resources.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Talent Acquisition Coordinator Principal Responsibilities:
  • Manages recruitment activities for assigned job requisitions, including drafting and posting job advertisements on appropriate recruitment platforms, internal career sites, government resources, and other sourcing channels within established timeframes.
  • Reviews and evaluates resumes, conducts screening interviews, assesses candidate qualifications and experience, and exercises independent judgment in identifying and recommending qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Partners with hiring managers regarding assigned vacancies to understand position requirements, provide recruitment updates, discuss candidate qualifications, make recommendations regarding qualified candidates, and determine when recruitment matters require escalation to the Talent Acquisition Manager or Director of Talent Acquisition.
  • Maintains communication with candidates throughout the recruitment and interview process, responds to recruitment-related questions, and addresses routine candidate issues to support a positive candidate experience.

Reviews recruitment activity and candidate pipelines for assigned vacancies, identifies sourcing challenges or areas requiring additional recruitment efforts, and recommends sourcing approaches or process improvements to strengthen recruitment effectiveness and the candidate experience.

Participates in and represents the agency at recruitment events, career fairs, hiring events, and other outreach activities; engages and evaluates prospective candidates and identifies qualified candidates for available opportunities.

Coordinates and oversees the placement, tracking, and onboarding logistics of temporary staff and interns, working with internal and external partners to address placement and recruitment-related matters.

Monitors Applicant Tracking System activity and recruitment documentation for assigned requisitions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established recruitment practices; identifies discrepancies and takes appropriate follow-up action.

Prepares and reviews recruitment reports and statistical information for management, funders, and the Administrative Office; monitors recruitment activity and identifies trends, discrepancies, or areas requiring follow-up.

Provides guidance to candidates, hiring managers, and internal partners regarding established recruitment processes and procedures; independently prioritizes assigned recruitment activities, addresses routine recruitment issues, and performs other related duties as needed to support the overall effectiveness of the Talent Acquisition Department. Performs all other related duties as requested.

Work Environment:

This role is based in an office environment. The organization accommodates 2 days of remote work per week for this position, with the understanding that work/projects may require more physical presence at the office, events and/or program sites.
